Network Attached Storage (NAS)

A Network Attached Storage (NAS) system is a file-level computer data storage server connected to a computer network that provides data access to a heterogeneous group of clients. A NAS system often contains one or more storage drives, arranged into logical, redundant, storage containers or RAID. The advantage of a NAS system is that it removes the responsibility of file serving from other servers on the network.
